Configuring Allowed Servers
A non-default Data Store will only allow specified servers to pull the dynamically deployed policy or package from it. The policies are applicable for protectors earlier than 10.0.x, while packages are applicable for 10.0.x protectors and later. The list of servers is controlled in the Allowed Servers section.
You may specify a single IP address or a range of IP addresses as Allowed Servers.
Note: Make sure to use IP addresses that are reachable from ESA.
To add Allowed Servers to a Data Store:
On the ESA Web UI, navigate to Policy Management > Data Stores.
The list of all the data stores appear.
From the Allowed Servers tab for the data store, click Add.
The Add Allowed Servers screen appears.
If you want to add a single server, then select Single Server and specify the server IP address.
If you want to add a range of servers, then Multiple Servers. Enter the range in the From and To text boxes.
Click Add.
The servers are added to the list of Allowed Servers.
