This helps in cases such as when an upgrade fails.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Perform the steps to restore to the previous version of the ESA on-premise.&lt;/p>
&lt;ol>
&lt;li>From the CLI Manager, navigate to &lt;strong>Administration &amp;gt; Reboot And Shutdown &amp;gt; Reboot&lt;/strong> to restart the system. &lt;/br>
A screen to enter the reason for restart appears.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Enter the reason and select &lt;strong>OK&lt;/strong>.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Enter the &lt;em>root&lt;/em> password and select &lt;strong>OK&lt;/strong>.&lt;br>
The appliance restarts and the following screen appears.&lt;br>

&lt;li>Select &lt;strong>System-Restore&lt;/strong> and press ENTER.&lt;br>

&lt;li>Navigate to &lt;strong>Inventories&lt;/strong> &amp;gt; &lt;strong>VMs and Templates&lt;/strong>.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>From the left navigation pane, select the required project.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Select the required OVA template.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Right-click the VM and select &lt;strong>Snapshot&lt;/strong> &amp;gt; &lt;strong>Take Snapshot&lt;/strong>.
The &lt;strong>Take Snapshot&lt;/strong> screen appears.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Enter a name and description for the snapshot.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Click &lt;strong>Take Snapshot&lt;/strong>.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Check “Snapshot the virtual machine’s memory” for a full state capture. &lt;!-- Need to verify this step -->&lt;/li>
