Uninstallation

Steps to uninstall and cleanup Protegrity Synthetic Data.

To remove the Synthetic Data service and all associated Kubernetes and AWS resources:

# Removes chart resources. PVC data is retained by default.
helm uninstall synthetic-data -n synthetic-data

# Wait for workload pods to terminate before destroying infrastructure.
kubectl wait --for=delete pods --all -n synthetic-data --timeout=10m

# If Karpenter is installed, wait for its NodeClaims to scale down before continuing.
kubectl wait --for=delete nodeclaims --all --timeout=30m

# Optional and irreversible: delete database PVC data.
kubectl delete pvc -n synthetic-data -l app.kubernetes.io/name=synthetic-data

# AWS: pass the same required variables used for apply.
tofu destroy \
  -var="cluster_name=<your-cluster-name>" \
