Common Policy Workflows
Use this map to choose the next task. Follow the linked instructions rather than maintaining separate copies of the workflow. For a complete worked example, use your first policy.
Policy Library Workflows
Start with Library inspection. Find the intended policy, inspect its current state, and read permitted history. Use the policy identifier to avoid acting on a similarly named row.
Policy Authoring Workflows
Choose Data authoring for the enabled Encryption journey. Choose artificial intelligence (AI) authoring for Federated Guardrails. Both paths require supported classifications, principals, and approved author access. Classifications select data categories. Principals identify the target identities receiving permissions. Neither path activates protection merely by saving a draft.
Create a Policy
After saving and inspecting findings, submit and hand the policy identifier to the reviewer.
Workflow: Review Conflicts Before Approval
Refer to review. Reload the submitted draft and read its current validation findings. Request changes for hard failures. After correction and resubmission, reload and review the corrected draft. Only explicitly reviewable findings permit acknowledgement. Acknowledgement records a deliberate exception with current finding identifiers and reasoning. It cannot waive hard failures.
Workflow: Approve or Archive a Policy
These are different decisions, not alternative ways to finish a draft. Refer to approval to approve the reviewed draft and start publication. Refer to archive to remove a policy’s published configuration. Approval creates the governed revision containing approved intent. Archive starts withdrawal of that contribution, not deletion of its history. Track delivery and withdrawal after either consequential operation.
