Launching an instance.

Launch on the respective cloud platform from the provided image.

AWS

Launch the instance on AWS using the following steps.

  1. Log in to the AWS UI.

  2. Launch an instance from the AMI provided by Protegrity. Refer to .

  3. Select an instance type that covers the following minimum configurations:

    • 4 core CPU
    • 16 GB memory
  4. Select the required network configurations.

  5. Add a storage with a minimum of 64 GB.

  6. Configure the required details and launch the instance.

Azure

Launch the instance on Azure using the following steps.

  1. Log in to the Azure UI.

  2. Create a disk from the BLOB provided by Protegrity. Refer to .

  3. Create a virtual machine from the disk created in step 2. Refer to .

  4. While creating the virtual machine, select an instance type that covers the following minimum configurations:

    • 4 core CPU
    • 16 GB memory
  5. Select SSH public key in the Authentication type option. Select the required network configurations.

  6. Add a storage with a minimum of 64 GB.

  7. Configure the required details and create the virtual machine.

GCP

Launch the instance on GCP using the following steps.

  1. Log in to the GCP UI.

  2. Create a VM instance. Refer to .

  3. While creating the virtual machine, select Machine Ccnfiguration type that covers the following minimum configurations:

    • 4 core CPU
    • 16 GB memory
  4. Under Boot disk, select the image provided by Protegrity.

  5. Set the boot size to a minimum of 64 GB.

  6. Configure the required details and create the virtual machine.
